🌿 Parenting With Presence:

Nervous System–Led, Conscious Support for You and Your Child

Parenting is one of the most profound experiences in life —and also one of the most activating.

Even the most loving, intentional parents can find themselves snapping, shutting down, feeling overwhelmed, or unsure how to respond when their child is emotional, defiant, anxious, or distressed.

Here’s the part no one teaches us:

Our children don’t just respond to our words. They respond to our nervous system.

When we are overwhelmed, stressed, or dysregulated, our child’s body senses it instantly.

And when we learn to regulate ourselves, they feel that too.

This is why parenting is not about being perfect.I

t’s about being regulated enough to offer safety, connection, and leadership.

🌱 The Heart of My Approach

With training in child psychotherapy, NLP, counselling, and nervous system regulation, I support parents to:

✨ understand their child beneath the behaviour

✨ regulate their own nervous system during conflict, overwhelm or meltdowns

✨ stay calm and connected, even when emotions are high

✨ break intergenerational patterns of fear, shame and emotional shutdown

✨ respond instead of react

✨ create a secure relational environment where both parent and child feel seen, safe, and understood

This work is not about “fixing” children.

It’s about supporting both the parent and the child to feel more grounded, connected, and emotionally safe.

🌿 Parenting Through a Nervous System Lens

Many of the behaviours that challenge parents —tantrums, defiance, withdrawal, clinginess, emotional outbursts —are not signs of a “naughty” child, but a dysregulated one.

Likewise, when a parent feels:

• overwhelmed

• overstretched

• overstimulated

• triggered

• pressured to do everything “right”

• stuck in old patterns

their nervous system may slip into:

🔥 fight (snapping, shouting)

🏃 flight (rushing, fixing, panicking)

🧊 freeze (shutting down, going blank)

🤝 fawn (giving in, avoiding conflict, over-explaining)

We work together to recognise these states with compassion — not shame — and to learn tools that bring you back into safety so you can guide your child from a grounded, calm place.

🌿 It’s parenting rooted in

:✨ awareness✨ connection✨ presence✨ emotional safety✨ boundaries that feel supportive, not fearful

You learn to:

:• understand your triggers and what they’re teaching you

• model emotional regulation for your child

• respond to behaviours with curiosity rather than frustration

• hold space for big emotions without losing yourself

• parent from your values, not old patterns

Your child learns:

:• emotional resilience

• self-awareness

healthy boundaries

• how to calm their own body

• how to trust themselves — and you

This is how families shift from surviving… to thriving.

🌿 Who This Is For

This support is ideal for parents who:

• feel overwhelmed or triggered by their child’s behaviour

• want calmer, more connected relationships at home

• want to stop shouting, shutting down, or feeling guilty afterwards

• want to understand their child’s emotional world

• want tools to help their child regulate

• want to break cycles from their own childhood

• want to parent in a conscious, compassionate, empowered way

You don’t have to be perfect.

You don’t need to always get it right.

You just need support, tools, and a safe space to grow.
