Beautiful Women

midlife and menopause

Midlife is a time of immense change, not only within  our bodies but externally too.

With the depletion of oestrogen, progesterone and testosterone, there comes many side effects which can have debilitating effects emotionally, physically and mentally.

When Perimenopause hit me with mood swings, night sweats (where I was literally drenched), difficulty sleeping and feeling on edge over the slightest thing, I didn't know how to move forward-I felt stuck and overwhelmed.

It's also a time when we often begin to question ourselves, our role and what we want moving forward, filling us with doubt and uncertainty.

It's a time that if we have children, they are finding their own way in the world, needing us less and eventually moving out of the family home. With this we can feel empty, lost and grieving how things use to be, 'The empty nest syndrome' can set in.

It's also a time that our relationship with our own parents change, often with us taking on the caring role.

For me, It has been one of my hugest learning curves, where I really began to understand the root cause of my people pleasing tendencies as well as truly feeling empowered, finding my voice and wanting to truly help others find their path.

How can I help?
